Chopin wrote this beautiful waltz while still a teen. It's filled with charm and passion.

Elene 2010-10-22 11:44:17 A challenging piece, and played with a lot of verve.
Andy Platt 2010-10-20 21:53:44 You can almost hear the teenage angst in that piece. I loved the contrasts you brought to it.
timmyab 2010-10-20 12:08:52 Great job! This waltz recital nearly turned into the E minor waltz fest, and I'm not surprised that it's popular because it's a fantastic piece.I wonder why he never published it?
heidiv 2010-10-20 07:20:50 Loved it!
ab-ster 2010-10-19 21:11:45 Very nice performance. Thank you for submitting this. I really like the way you stretch out the middle section and go bang the chromatic bass section. It's very dramatic.
gerg 2010-10-18 20:11:17 Hi Mel! It's such a privilege to have your participation once again.

I am amazed by the popularity of this valse. One of my associates has a 91-year-old mother who is quite active, who still plays the piano, and who takes lessons. She's pretty good, actually, when she overcomes nervousness. I was privileged to hear her play for the very first time today. She played Chopin 9/2 and her ornaments - fantastic.

She also plays this one and I've been asking her for years to play it for me, and really hope she will some day.

Your rendition is wonderful, and I too am continually impressed by your playing and so happy to hear this splendid recording from you!
Inlanding 2010-10-18 14:43:07 No question you were in the right frame of mind to play this passionate Waltz. Fire and enthusiasm are clearly portrayed. Thank you for your music - Bravo!

Mistaya 2010-10-18 00:13:49 Hi Mel! I always look forward to hearing you play and this brought a big smile to my face - full of drama and fancy finger work. Inspiring pianism.
AnotherSchmoe 2010-10-17 13:57:08 Great performance! Really enjoyed hearing it, this seems to be a pretty popular piece this recital hehe, for good reasons though. Your recording quality is also very good, the sound is just super crisp, love it. Thanks for sharing your excellent playing with us!
