Piano Again's Comments
Even though this falls short of what I had hoped it would be (darn those thirds!), I learned a lot from working this up enough to make the recording. It was done all in one take, no editing. Recorded on a Zoom H4; piano is an Estonia 190.Post your comments on Piano Again's performance!

Some constructive criticism if you don't mind: I think this is too fast for you right now because if you slow down the recording and listen to it, I'm sure you will hear a lot of unevenness in note values. The trick is to go back and play slow and practice slow until you've got it all under your fingers. I'm sure this is not an easy piece to play and you've got the idea behind it right.. all you need to do now is practice slow, make it even, and you have a gorgeous piece in your repertoire that you can play extremely well! I'm saying this only because I think you've got great potential (I wouldn't care to post such a comment otherwise ;))! Thanks for sharing! |
| wouter79 | 2010-12-17 10:53:59 | Great, particularly for a single take. A bit too long sonata for me, I prefer the more condensed works ;) Recording is fair,no noise, balanced, but a bit clipping, watch your record level. I prefer a bit more distant mic setup. Piano sounds nice. |
