Leo Smit was better known as a pianist during his lifetime, specializing for the most part in American Piano literature. This was not necessarily confined to Classical Piano; he also programmed Jazz/Blues material as well. But he also did some composing for the piano as well. "Rondel" is a short late work written in 1999, and is just touching in its simplicity and warmth.
