dannylux - Manuel Maria Ponce Bersagliera: Message Board
dannylux's Comments
Manuel Maria Ponce (1882-1948) combined French Impressionism and the Romantic exuberance of Liszt and with Mexican folk melodies.Bersagliera has a decidedly Baroque feel to it. It's translated as "an energetic and decisive woman". Not quite sure what that means.

canonie | 2010-08-22 18:48:02 | maybe I can almost hear the Baroque... then it runs away again. Ponce - another I've never heard of, but what a fun piece. What is your piano/recording setup? |
